• guilt for having been saved and alive while the other has deceased
• fear of death
• anger that their loved one is no longer in the physical
• abandonment

Learn how to easily assist your patient/client to connect with a departed soul. In so doing, they have the opportunity to say whatever it is they couldn’t or didn’t say before their beloved passed. The experience itself and the closure that it brings are truly valuable catalysts for healing.

So often our efforts to love one another are unsatisfactory or even backfire.

Rather than being a fulfilling experience, love may come to feel like a burden, taking away our spirit and our energy rather than adding to them.

Anxiety, jealousy, insecurity, worry and need are among the unfortunate feelings which come to be associated with love, or which at times are even offered as expressions of love, but they inevitably miss the mark, leaving everyone hurt and dissatisfied.

In Giving the Gift of Love, we explore the difference between healthy and unhealthy efforts to show love. It is astonishingly easy to love effectively with a few basic concepts, such as the idea that the relationship itself is like a “third person” in any loving association. Above all, learning to understand love as a gift—with all that is implied in that model—goes a long way toward promoting the kind of loving relationship that sustains rather than diminishes us.
